About

Hi there!

Okay, what do you want to know?

Where do you live? I am a lifelong resident of Upstate, NY - as in North of Albany - not just "North of the City"... Although, I did spend a few years just outside of Philly while in college. I love the city, but am a small town girl in my bones. I reserve the right to change my stance on that at any time - depending on time of year, weather, lack of service, mood...

What's your parenting deal? I am the mother to two crazy & wonderful ladies - also known as Runner Girl and Culinary Kid (aka Karate Kid; aka Fussy Eater). They are totally night and day, but amazing in their own unique way. Runner Girl is off to college. College searching was an experience. So far, we have all survived. My laundry quotient has significantly diminished... Culinary Kid is a Senior in high school & is currently enrolled in a culinary program. College is just around the corner - my baby is growing up on me.

What's up with The Dude? Great question. When I figure it out, I'll let you know. He's a good egg. But he doesn't like soup or anything that looks suspiciously healthy. He likes chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I like lemon with (fill in the blank). It makes things super-duper interesting when I am on an experimental tangent in the kitchen. He's one of those super-smart people that (almost) everyone seems to want to be around - it drives me absolutely crazy. We call him "The Mayor". It makes for some fun stories. I should share some of those...

What do you do all day? In my "big person" role, I am involved in Supply Chain for a manufacturing company. Lemme tell you, it's crazy out there, but I like it...

Where else are you? Well, I can only be one place at a time. But if you want to reach me, I can be reached at...

Why don't you have all cool links on your side bar? Um, I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Do you consider yourself a "food blogger"? Not really. I like to write and I like to cook and bake. That's all.

Any questions?

  3. Hey Cher, It's Tammy from Bean and Pie. Hope this doesn't sound stalker-ish, but I'm going up to Albany this weekend to visit family. How close are you to East Greenbush? Want to meet up somewhere for coffee on Saturday? Thought it might be fun to meet someone "live" from the TWD group.

If you're available, email me and we can work out details: tammy.kleinman0[at]gmail.com
